Title: Engineering Manager - Power Electronics
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA (on-site)
Annual Salary: $185,000 - $215,000
We design and manufacture high-performance servo drives and power conversion hardware, and we are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead the electrical and PCB engineering teams and drive the development of high-power, high-density motor drive and power electronics products.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the electrical engineering team; oversee PCB engineering and coordinate with mechanical engineering
Set technical direction for power electronics architecture and hardware platforms
Design and review power stages, gate drives, sensing, protection, and analog front-end circuits
Guide analog control loop design, filtering, and stability analysis
Drive EMI/EMC strategies, grounding, shielding, and high-power PCB layout practices
Oversee auxiliary and bias supply design, thermal analysis, and derating
Lead design reviews, risk assessments, sustaining engineering, and trade studies
Support bring-up, debug, failure analysis, and customer escalations
Required Qualifications
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering
10+ years in power electronics design (motor drives or power conversion)
Expertise in analog control loops, mixed-signal hardware, and high-voltage/high-current systems
Hands-on design of switching and linear power supplies and magnetics
Proficiency with SPICE and MATLAB/Simulink or Mathcad
Strong knowledge of high-power, low-EMI PCB layout
Strong foundation in power electronics, controls, electromagnetics, or thermal design
