The Engineering Manager - Swiss CNC Machining will report to a Sr. Engineering Manager to support machining and other processes. Responsibilities will include:Coach, mentor and develop a team of engineers and skilled trades professionalsSupply Swiss CNC machining expertise to the staff and facilityParticipate in weekly quoting meetings to determine fit and manufacturability for Swiss CNC engineering projectsRead and interpret blueprints, as well as GD&TAssign CNC machining jobs to staff and monitor timely completionProvide status updates to operations, sales and engineering teamsInitiate training to production associates for new and existing projectsAssist Swiss CNC team with troubleshooting programming and offering guidancePartner with production when needed to troubleshoot process and manufacturability issuesManage tooling and CapEx projects, including overseeing timelines and budgetsComplete cost justification, ROI analysis, and obtain quotesOther duties as directed by engineering managementThis is a leadership role that requires qualified candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 25% of their day and have the ability to wear many hats. Candidates should have strong Swiss CNC machining technical skills and the ability to coach and mentor others, support and foster a team-oriented environment and the desire to develop the staff.
