Full-Time Security OfficerThe Security Officer plays an integral role in ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment to all employees and guests. Security Officers contribute to building safety by patrolling and monitoring premises and reporting safety conditions.Responsibilities Include:Coordinating various deliveriesAccountability of all access of the ArenaInventory of equipmentControlling and monitoring security camerasMonitoring exterior doors to the building and maintaining a secure environment for our visitorsControlling guest/vendors access to the ArenaEnsure all areas are maintained in a professional and clean manner during shiftFollow safety and security policies, programs and proceduresAbility to handle the telephone and speak clearly and professionallyAbility to handle crisis situations in the event of emergency and/or fireWork with all departments to ensure the building's needs are metMust conduct building security checks of all floors during 8-hour shiftOther duties as assigned Shifts: 7am-3pm, 3pm11pm and 11pm7amQualifications:Previous experience is a mustApplicant must possess a valid Florida Class D Security LicensePassion to work with people and willingness to learnExcellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented, team player, professional demeanor and assertiveSelf-motivation and ability to work alone if necessaryMust have a flexible schedule and be available on weekend/overnightsCustomer service experienceWell-groomed/clean shavenReliable transportationPunctual and dependable individual with a positive attitudeMust pass background check and drug screeningEducation/Training:High School Diploma or EquivalentValid FL Security D LicenseSkills Required:Effective Oral and Written communicationReadingConflict ResolutionTime ManagementPatron RelationsSelf DefenseMath AptitudeDependabilityProfessionalismComputer skills, Outlook, Powerpoint & Microsoft TeamsPhysical Demands:Standing - Particularly for sustained periods of time. Walking - Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. To include walking up/down stairs. Pushing - Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.Pulling - Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.Lifting - Raising objects up to 30 pounds from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.Talking - Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing - Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.Vision - The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.).Repetitive motion - Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is an hourly non-exempt position.
