Optometrist- Albany, NY Job type:Full-time/Permanent Shifts:DaysPosition Summary:We are seeking a full-timeOptometristto provide comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and treat various eye conditions, and prescribe corrective lenses. This role offers a collaborative, patient-focused work environment across multiple office locations. Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine and medical eye examsDiagnose and treat a range of eye conditionsPrescribe eyeglasses and contact lensesClearly communicate diagnosis and care plans to patientsPerform LAL treatments (training provided)Document patient visits using EMRParticipate in on-call rotations and see add-on/ER patients as neededAttend staff meetings and follow all clinical policies and safety protocolsQualifications: Doctor of Optometry (OD) and active NY State licenseValid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between locationsStrong communication and patient care skillsProficiency with EMR and medical coding/billingTeam-oriented mindset and professional demeanorPhysical Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and assist with patient care, including occasional lifting (up to 35 lbs).
