Electrical Engineering SupervisorOverviewAn industry-leading power generation solutions provider is seeking an Electrical Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of electrical engineers supporting the design, development, and deployment of power generation systems. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with team management and project execution responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical LeadershipLead the design and implementation of medium-voltage (up to 13.8kV) and low-voltage power systems for power generation applications.Serve as the technical authority for electrical distribution, generator systems, protection schemes, and auxiliary equipment.Oversee electrical deliverables including one-line diagrams, grounding systems, cable schedules, load studies, and protection coordination.Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ANSI, IEEE, NEC, and NFPA.Support relay selection, settings development, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.Team LeadershipManage, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers.Conduct performance reviews and support employee development plans.Establish engineering standards, best practices, and training programs.Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.Project SupportAct as the lead electrical engineering stakeholder across project lifecycles.Collaborate with controls, mechanical, manufacturing, and field service teams.Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and field troubleshooting activities.Review vendor documentation and evaluate new technologies to support future product development.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.5+ years of experience in power generation, power systems, or industrial electrical engineering.Strong knowledge of medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, protection, and power distribution.Experience leading technical projects and supporting engineering teams.PreferredExperience with power generation packages, distributed energy systems, or industrial power plants.Familiarity with gas turbine or reciprocating engine control systems.EIT or PE certification.Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP and OPC UA.SkillsStrong leadership and communication skills.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Customer-focused with a commitment to safety and quality.
