Touchmark at Georgetown is Central Texas's leading full-service retirement community, enriching the lives of residents and their families through five-star hospitality, services and amenities. We are currently seeking the right person to join our team as a Driver.
As a Driver, you will enrich lives each day by transporting active, dynamic residents to appointments, shopping trips, lunches, and other outings in our van or bus. Your courteous and good-natured personality will add an extra aspect of enjoyment to resident excursions, giving you the daily opportunity to be a positive presence in the lives of residents!
Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, community outings, and scheduled activities.
Assist residents with entering/exiting the vehicle and with mobility devices as needed (walker, wheelchair, etc.), following safe transfer practices.
Maintain a warm, respectful, and service-oriented approach with residents, families, and team members.
Follow assigned routes and schedules; communicate promptly regarding delays, changes, or resident concerns.
Complete required documentation, including trip logs, vehicle inspection checklists, and mileage/fuel reporting as applicable.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety checks (tires, lights, mirrors, lift/ramps if applicable, cleanliness, etc.).
Keep vehicle clean and presentable; report maintenance needs, safety concerns, or mechanical issues immediately.
Follow all company policies, traffic laws, and safety procedures, including confidentiality requirements.
Support other departments as needed when not driving (light support tasks only, as assigned).
The ideal candidate will:

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver's License
Enjoy working with seniors, being part of a Life Enrichment team, and promoting a full, energetic lifestyle
Be able to read, write, and speak English
Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors
