The Role Of Lead Data AnalystAs the Lead Data Analyst, you will be within the broader Data and Analytics organization, the Data and BI teams are undergoing a data modernization effort to create a modern enterprise data platform. The Lead Data Analyst will be a key member of this transformation by leading a small team of business analysts to review and analyze the current legacy data platform and assist with the requirements the new data platform from a BI, reporting and analytic perspective.Responsibilities include:Identify and communicate with key stakeholders, BI developers, data engineers, and data product ownersAnalyze current legacy data and reporting, including KPIs and other metrics, to understand the new data platform requirementsAssess options for process improvement, including business process modelingCreate and maintain documentation around existing metrics, reports, and data mappings.Validate and QA the new data warehouse data to ensure it is able to be used effectively in the new semantic layerKnowledge & Experience:7+ years' experience as a Business Analyst5+ years' experience using SQL to query and analyze dataAbility to effectively collaborate, communicate and influence key stakeholders to support the creation of the semantic layerExperience testing and mapping various business processes, reporting, analytic use cases and databasesWorking knowledge of Power BIAbility to operate independently and successfully in a fast-paced environmentSuperior communication skills both oral and writtenBachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, or related discipline.Preferred Experience:10+ years' experience as a business analyst7+ years' experience using SQL to query and analyze dataProficiency in Power BIComfortable making decisions and leadingProficient in version control and relational databasesMaster's degree in computer science, statistics, or related discipline
