Engine Lathe MachinistSan Dimas, CA 91773Job DescriptionJohnson Service Group is looking for an Engine Lathe Machinist with 3+ years' machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills. This is a Direct Hire job for a Pumps company in the San Dimas, CA area. Pay Rate: $30.00 HRDuties:Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instrumentsFabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining proceduresOperate basic equipment and machines and conduct routine tasksHelp to maintain and repair equipment by conducting preparations and aidingFollow basic mandatory work instructions to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and othersFollow a straightforward mandatory procedure to ensure that work is conducted to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conductInterpret and use precision measuring equipment/instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gaugesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerancesExchange information with people by having courteous interactions with themWorks with guidance to understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectivesRequirements:3+ years machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/millsHS Diploma / GED and / or 0-2 years relevant experienceAble to interpret detailed drawings, and/or specifications for the material to be usedAbility to proficiently use precision measuring instrumentsAbility to perform complex setupsSelf Starter, reliableJohnson Service Group (JSG) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
