Process Engineer
Provide process design support through PEA, PFS, FS, conceptual design, front-end engineering, and detailed design phases
Perform studies into operational site improvements and modifications
Develop, improve, and promote effective use of operations systems including JDE, SPRS, Synergy, Aconex, SMS, and Dochub
Troubleshoot and resolve process issues
Develop process flow sheets and prepare process design criteria
Prepare process calculations, PFDs, heat and material balances, and P&IDs
Size process equipment and develop specifications
Coordinate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient operations
Stay up to date with mining processing technology and recommend new equipment or processes
Support Sedgman’s design and engineering team in delivering high-quality projects to clients
Participate in calculations, drawings, reviews, reports, modelling, and client support activities
Perform additional duties as required
Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering (Mineral Processing, Metallurgy or Chemical Disciplines)
2–5 years of work experience; process design experience preferred
Must be eligible to register with the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration to obtain the Professional Engineer licensing (P.E.)
Knowledge of process engineering, equipment, and technologies
Good written and oral communication skills
Proven ability to work as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Must be able to travel to mine sites, which may include some secondments
Must be eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship
