Cybersecurity Engineer/Analyst (Junior Level)
Job Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Engineer/Analyst to join our Information Security team. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing and administering cybersecurity tools, systems, and applications, as well as developing policies and guidelines to ensure secure enterprise operations. This role involves deploying and supporting security systems, conducting risk assessments, and responding to cybersecurity events and incidents. The candidate should be familiar with industry standards, cybersecurity threats, and evolving technology trends.Responsibilities:Implement and administer cybersecurity tools, systems, and applications to ensure secure enterprise-wide operations.Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and guidelines to safeguard information against unauthorized access, modification, and destruction.Deploy, administer, and support security systems, including endpoint protection, intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, and vulnerability management tools.Monitor and respond to cybersecurity-related events and incidents, such as malicious code detection, intrusion detection, and patch management issues.Conduct risk assessments and audits to validate that security controls are implemented appropriately according to policy and industry best practices.Provide cybersecurity training and outreach across the organization to promote user awareness and adherence to security protocols.Stay current with industry developments, standards, trends, and evolving cybersecurity threats and risks.Required Skills:Experience with cybersecurity tools and systems, including endpoint protection, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.Knowledge of cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.Familiarity with risk assessment, vulnerability management, and forensic analysis.Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or similar.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to security incidents.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.1-2 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or analysis.Security-related certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) are preferred.Strong interest in staying up-to-date with cybersecurity trends and developments.
