Dare Campus Services Coordinator
This position is located at COA-Dare Campus in Manteo, NC.
The COA - Dare Campus Services Coordinator serves as the primary front-of-house representative and central point of contact for COA - Dare. This position provides high-level customer service and administrative support to students, faculty, staff, and the public, while ensuring efficient daily campus operations.
The coordinator is responsible for managing front desk operations, supporting the COA - Dare Campus Dean, assisting with student services navigation, and coordinating logistical needs for campus events in collaboration with various college divisions. This role also includes providing support for basic library services and facilitating access to learning resources, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for all campus visitors.
The Dare Campus Services Coordinator receives supervision by the Dare Campus Dean.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Front-of-House / Customer Service (Primary Function)
Serve as the first point of contact for the campus, providing professional, courteous, and knowledgeable assistance to students, faculty, staff, and the public
Answer, screen, and direct phone calls; respond to in-person and electronic inquiries
Provide accurate information regarding college programs, services, schedules, events, and procedures
Assist students with navigation of college systems (registration, portals, schedules, forms, etc.)
In collaboration with Student Success and Enrollment Management, support outreach efforts and communication with prospective and current students
De-escalate concerns and direct individuals to appropriate departments or personnel
Administrative Support to Campus Dean
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Dare Campus Dean, including scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation
Maintain files, reports, and records related to campus operations and instructional activities
Assist with preparation of instructional materials, reports, and communications
Coordinate facility usage requests and maintain classroom and space schedules
Event Logistics Coordination
Serve as the campus logistics point of contact for events, coordinating operational needs in partnership with the College's event planner
Manage space reservations, setup requirements, and coordination of equipment and services
Support execution of campus events, including communication with internal stakeholders and external partners
Ensure event readiness, including signage, room setup, and resource availability
In collaboration with the Office of Student Success and Enrollment Management and the Communication and Marketing Department, support outreach efforts and communication with prospective and current students.
Provide general guidance on admissions, enrollment, financial aid, and student services processes
Assist with appointment scheduling, distribution of forms, and general student support functions
Support outreach efforts and communication with prospective and current students
Library & Learning Resource Support
Provide cross training and support to the learning resource specialist and testing service staff
Operational & Administrative Support
Maintain office equipment, supplies, and front desk operations
Assist with data entry, reports, and tracking using systems such as Colleague or other college platforms
Support general campus operations, including coordination across departments

Typical Qualifications Required
Associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Two years of experience in high-level office management operations.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience in dealing with customer relation situations.
Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a higher education or community college setting
Experience supporting events, student services, or front desk operations
Familiarity with student information systems (e.g., Colleague/Datatel)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-interaction environment
Knowledge of general college operations, student services, or administrative processes
Ability to problem-solve, exercise judgment, and work independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems
Ability to coordinate logistics and communicate effectively across departments
Working Conditions
