Quality Inspector 2 or 3Millerbernd Manufacturing is looking for a Quality Inspector 2 or 3 to join our Circular Products (CP) team in Sauk Rapids. The CP Quality Inspector 2 or 3 is responsible for the testing and inspection of products at various stages of production process in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Supporting first inspection through final inspection for all OEM products.Job Title: CP Quality Inspector 2 or 3 Location: Level 2 $22.95 27.00 per hour (non-exempt), Level 3 $28.05 - 33.00 per hour (non-exempt) Shift Schedule : 1st shift: Monday Friday 7am 5pm Shift Differential : 1st shift N/AAs a Quality Inspector 2Perform repetitive inspection following standard methods and proceduresVisually inspect product using a variety of precision measuring instrumentsCheck dimensions and finishes against blueprint or work order specificationsMark test parts with appropriate language per job specificationsInitiate accept/reject decisions and know when to call more qualified individuals for marginal evaluationsContain defective material at sourceKeep accurate inspection recordsInspect and calibrate test equipment; document dates and resultsWrite formal inspection reportsLead problem solving activities to determine root causeAssist with production as requiredAssist with root cause investigation of material defects or other problem-solving activitiesRead blueprintsParticipate and support Continuous Improvement initiativesMaintains 5S guidelinesCommunicate relevant information and concerns positively and effectively to others in timely mannerPerform work at the appropriate pace to maintain quality and productivity requirementsEnter job data in production tracking systemAs a Quality Inspector 3Everything as a Level 2 and;Perform finishing operations to correct rejected partsInspect and calibrate test equipment; document dates and resultsWrite formal inspection reports in such a way they are presentable for customer viewingLead complex root cause analysis activities resulting in defect eliminationsComplete first article inspection reportsSupport internal, third party and customer auditsAssist in submitting deviationsAbility to support cross-functionallyAchieve basic industry standard certifications including AMPP 1 or CWIMentor other inspectors and train them on standard methods and proceduresRole Qualifications as a Quality Inspector 2Preferred candidates will have background knowledge in inspection, be able to read a tape measure and blueprints, and use basic hand tools as well as a caliper and micrometerOther combinations of formal training and experience may be consideredKnowledge of industry specifications (AWS, ASTM-123, DOT, etc)Knowledge of problem-solving activities and ability to apply those engineering/lean conceptsComputer literate; particularly in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and shop floor control, applicationsAbility to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperworkEffective and appropriate oral communication skills including legible handwriting in EnglishRole Qualifications as a Quality Inspector 3Role Qualifications as a level 2 and;Preferred candidates will have experience in inspection, specifically industry related inspection in weldingOther combinations of formal training and experience may be consideredAble to work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or proceduresAbility to solve practical problems and make decisions within a set of guidelinesJoin Millerbernd Manufacturing Where Your Career Can Take ShapeAbout Us: At Millerbernd, we don't just offer jobswe build careers.
