Remote Security Engineering Manager

We are seeking a Security Engineering Manager to lead and develop our team responsible for securing cloud and application environments. Key Responsibilities IncludeLeading, coaching, and growing the Security Engineering team, including Cloud and Application Security EngineersDesigning and implementing security controls across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)Embedding security into the software development lifecycle through threat modeling, architecture reviews, and automationManaging security monitoring, incident response, and compliance efforts aligned with standards like SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001, and NISTDeveloping metrics, policies, and procedures to communicate security posture and improve defensesCollaborating with engineering teams to ensure secure system design and deploymentRecruiting, mentoring, and retaining high-performing security professionalsQualifications And SkillsProficiency in AWS security services, Terraform, GitLab, CI/CD security practicesDeep understanding of cloud security architecture, IAM, data security, and secure SDLCExperience leading or partnering with Application Security effortsKnowledge of compliance frameworks and security standardsStrong communication skills to explain risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders5+ years in cybersecurity, with experience securing AWS and cloud-native systems; prior leadership experience requiredRelevant certifications like AWS Security – Specialty, CISSP are a plusJoin a dynamic, inclusive team committed to innovation and growth, offering competitive salary, equity, and benefits in a flexible work environment.
