Job Title:Toolmaker (Lv. 1) Location:Victor, NY Employment Type:Full-Time | Direct HireSummary:Nesco Resource is seeking aToolmaker Ito join a precision manufacturing team in Victor, NY. This role is responsible for laying out, assembling, and repairing tooling such as jigs, fixtures, gauges, and cutting tools. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their toolmaking career who is looking to grow their skills while working on a variety of machining and assembly tasks.Pay Rate:$23.00 - $30.00/Hour (Based On Exp.)Shift: Day Shift | Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Key Responsibilities:Study blueprints and determine machining and assembly requirements Measure, mark, and Client out metal stock for machining Operate drill presses to drill and tap holes Assemble and fit parts to required dimensions and tolerances Set up and operate machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses Operate surface grinder to finish parts Verify dimensions, alignments, and proper installation of components Test assembled mechanisms for functionality Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all safety procedures including use of proper PPE Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required 0-10 years of related toolmaking or machining experience Enrollment in or completion of a NYS Apprenticeship Program preferred Experience with Prototrak required Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Strong math skills including basic algebra Good communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision Work Environment & Physical Requirements:Frequent use of hands, tools, and equipment Ability to sit, reach, and perform detailed work Strong visual acuity and attention to detail required Exposure to machining environment and equipmentNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
