Data Architect

Role:-Senior Data ArchitectLocation:-Irving, TX-HybridDuration:-6+ MonthsResponsibilities:Design and maintain enterprise data architecture and solution standards that align with business objectives and technology strategy.Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support enterprise applications, analytics, and reporting.Architect scalable data warehouse and lakehouse solutions using modern cloud technologies and industry best practices.Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native data platforms, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and Databricks.Define and oversee ETL/ELT architectures and data integration strategies, including distributed data processing solutions using Apache Spark and PySpark, to support reliable, efficient data movement at scale.Establish and enforce data governance, data quality, metadata management, and master data management (MDM) standards, ensuring enterprise data solutions meet security, privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements.Optimize data platform performance through query tuning, workload optimization, and architectural improvements.Design and support API-based and event-driven data integration solutions for real-time and batch processing.Implement architecture best practices for CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support automated deployments and platform reliability.Collaborate with data scientists and analytics teams to design data architectures that support AI/ML initiatives and advanced analytics.Provide technical leadership, architecture governance, and mentorship to data engineering and development teams.Partner with business stakeholders, solution architects, and executive leadership to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to the organization's data architecture roadmap.Requirements:8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, data warehousing, or related data management roles.5+ years designing and implementing cloud-based data platforms, preferably on Microsoft Azure.3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse architecture.Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale data architecture initiatives and partnering with cross-functional business and technology teams.Strong expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical) and data warehousing/dimensional modeling (star/snowflake).Advanced SQL skills and strong data engineering best practices, including ETL/ELT architecture and data integration.Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and PySpark for distributed data processing.Experience with data governance, data quality, master data management (MDM), metadata management, and data lineage.Experience with API-based and event-driven data integration, along with performance optimization and query tuning.Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and architecture governance skills.Self-driven and curious by nature — comfortable evaluating emerging technologies and researching new tools and platforms independently.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
