They work with category-leading media, sports, and entertainment brands to deliver next-generation direct-to-consumer video experiences.They're looking for a technically strong Senior QA Engineer to own the quality, reliability, and scalability of their web-based products and JavaScript platform. This is a hands-on role for someone equally comfortable with manual and automated testing, working closely with engineering, product, and design, and helping shape QA practices as the organization scales.Key Responsibilities:Owning end-to-end QA for web-based products, including manual, exploratory, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across browsers and environmentsDeveloping comprehensive test plans and test cases, identifying edge cases and risks early in the development lifecycleDesigning, building, and maintaining automated tests in JavaScript/TypeScript using frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or WebdriverIODetermining the right balance of manual and automated testing and continually improving coverage, reliability, and efficiencyIntegrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and troubleshooting failures, distinguishing application defects from test or environmental issuesReading and understanding application code to build effective tests, investigate defects, and collaborate directly with engineersTesting and troubleshooting REST APIs, network requests, browser behavior, and backend servicesUsing databases and SQL to validate application behavior and investigate data issues across the stackInvestigating complex issues with browser developer tools, logs, and network inspection, and providing detailed, reproducible bug reportsParticipating in sprint planning, refinement, release planning, and retrospectives, helping assess release readiness and riskHelping define and improve QA processes, automation strategy, testing standards, and quality metrics in partnership with the Head of QAActing as a technical QA leader who helps the organization scale its engineering and QA practicesIdeal Profile:5+ years of professional QA/software testing experience, with significant experience testing web applicationsStrong hands-on experience with both manual testing and test automationStrong experience testing JavaScript-based web applicationsProficiency with at least one modern web automation framework such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium/WebDriver, or WebdriverIOAbility to write and maintain automated tests in JavaScript or TypeScriptStrong understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, browser behavior, asynchronous operations, and client/server architectureHands-on experience with databases and SQL for data validation and troubleshootingExperience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelinesStrong debugging skills across the frontend, backend, APIs, and data layerSolid grounding in QA methodologies, including regression, exploratory, and risk-based testingPrior technical leadership, mentoring, or experience building QA processes is strongly preferredExperience testing complex JavaScript/TypeScript applications or SDKs is a plusExperience with cloud-based applications and distributed systems is a plusExperience in video, streaming, interactive media, or high-traffic consumer applications is a plusThis is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing, profitable video technology company at a defining moment in the interactive video space, working fully remote from anywhere in the US.APPLY NOW to discuss further details.5V Video are acting as an Employment Agency for the purposes of this position.
