Job Title: Financial Services Data Analyst – Automation & Process ImprovementLocation: New York, NY or Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 remote)Duration: Contract (starting with 12 months)Pay: Up to $55/hour (W2)OverviewA leading financial services firm is seeking a Financial Services Data Analyst to support automation initiatives within Wealth Management Operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in automation, data analytics, and process improvement within financial services.The position focuses on identifying operational inefficiencies, building automation solutions, and partnering with business teams to improve workflows across operations.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify automation opportunities across Wealth Management Operations teamsAnalyze business processes and document requirements, workflows, and expected outcomesDesign, build, test, and deploy automation solutions using tools such as UiPath, Power Automate, Alteryx, Python, VBA, and SQLSupport UAT, rollout, and adoption of automation initiativesPartner with stakeholders across operations and technology teamsMonitor production automations, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvementsPerform root cause analysis and enhance automation performanceProvide reporting, project updates, and escalation support to leadershipRequirementsBachelor’s degree required (Business, Computer Science, or related field)5+ years of experience in automation, data analytics, or process improvement within financial servicesStrong experience with automation tools such as UiPath, Power Automate, or AlteryxStrong technical skills in Python, VBA, SQL, or similar scripting languagesStrong data analysis, problem-solving, and process mapping skillsExperience working within Wealth Management Operations preferredCertification in automation tools is a plusConsulting background is a plus, but this is primarily a hands-on automation and analytics role
