Senior Python Developer

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to support the development of mission-critical applications built on modern software development frameworks.The selected candidate will collaborate with engineering teams to design, develop, enhance, and maintain both customer-facing and internal applications/services. The role involves working across the full software development lifecycle, including server operations, backend development, testing, verification, and maintenance.The developer will contribute to:Building new features and enhancementsCode refactoring and optimizationDefect fixes and technical debt remediationApplication modernization and migration effortsPerformance improvements and scalability initiativesMust-Have Qualifications10+ years of backend development experience using Python , including large data librariesStrong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)Experience working with large-scale databasesMaster s degree in Computer Science (preferred)Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architectureExperience with data processing frameworks (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, PySpark)Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsWork ScheduleStandard business hoursFull-time, on-site in McLean, VA (Monday Friday)
