The office assistant, working under the advisors' supervision, will help international students with inquiries and assist advisors with data entry, document filing, and other office tasks as needed.Receive in-person visitors at the front desk and answer inquiries.Provide general information about UVU on campus resources to students.Provide information about ISC and other activities.Assist the students when they need to pick up their new I-20 forms and work clearance forms.Assist during the new student check-in process.Filing and organizing documents and files.Keeping the front area organized and cleaned.Assist the advisors and director with copies and paperwork.Type the second page of I-20 and file labels.Scan and input documents into the Visual Vault discontinued files.Must be a current UVU student.Knowledge and experience working in an education or office environment.Knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office applications.Knowledge of and sensitivity to student experiences in an academic environment.Skilled in computers and computer applications.Skilled in office methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.Effective interpersonal communication skills.Ability to work independently and complete tasks without supervision.Ability to solve problems and communicate with students.Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Ability to maintain confidentiality of immigration records.Must possess a high degree of professionalism, initiative, creativity, tact, and confidentiality.
