Frontend Lead Engineer

The frontend will be part of a broader microservices architecture deployed on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). This is a hands-on leadership role. You will build the application from the ground up, write production-ready code daily, shape architectural decisions, and represent the frontend team in discussions with stakeholders and clients.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and delivery of scalable frontend solutions for medium and large-scale projectsOwn planning, estimation, technical design, implementation, and quality assuranceDefine and maintain frontend architecture standards and best practicesProvide technical leadership, mentorship, and code review support to team membersCollaborate cross-functionally with backend, UX/UI, QA, DevOps, and Product teamsContinuously improve team capabilities through knowledge sharing and professional developmentAct as a technical client-facing representative when needed, leading workshops and architectural discussionsSupport commercial activities, including solution scoping, estimations, and pre-sales engagementsSkills & RequirementsCore Expertise - Must haveStrong experience with React and Next.js (App Router) in production environmentsDeep understanding of SSR, SSG, ISR, and hybrid rendering strategiesExpert-level TypeScript and modern frontend architecture designExperience integrating frontend applications within distributed microservices ecosystems, including API contract awarenessStrong knowledge of frontend testing (e.g., Playwright, Jest)Ability to define and maintain architectural standardsExperience leading technical decisions and mentoring engineersShould haveIntegration with REST or GraphQL APIs in distributed systemsExperience with headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Sanity)Experience delivering frontend applications within CI/CD pipelines and containerized cloud environments (e.g., Docker, AKS)Performance optimization and accessibility best practicesFamiliarity with AI-assisted development toolsNice to HaveTerraform basics (ability to understand infrastructure definitions)Experience with commerce platforms (Shopify, Adobe Commerce, etc.)Monitoring & observability tooling (Application Insights or similar)Familiarity with backend technologies (.NET, Node.js, PHP)What we offerA variety of small and large digital commerce projects for well-known brands.A chance to shape how we deliver for US clients with strong EU-team support.Flexible, modern working environment with work–life balance.Competitive salary, benefits, and access to AI tools, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, and Confluence.
