DescriptionJob DescriptionPeaceHealth is seeking a MA Care Coordinator for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $27.38 – $41.06. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.Job SummaryActs as the key liaison between the patient and their patient-centered medical home team. Team includes providers, clinic staff, and other health care professionals. Works to ensure safety, best practices, and high-quality standards are maintained for the patient across the health care continuum.Details of the position:Provides compassionate care and excellent customer service while managing the workflow between patients and providers.Manages clinical communications between patients, clinic staff, providers, and internal/external customers to optimize flow and coordination of patient care.Facilitates getting immediate resolution for urgent or emergent patient issues; delegates tasks among team members to ensure the best patient outcomes.Collaborates with providers to manage, process, and resolve complex or sensitive patient issues.Navigates data systems to research and/or record pertinent information.Provides advanced MA clinical knowledge with ability to perform testing, administer medications, and assist with examinations and procedures.Demonstrates leadership qualities in a diverse team environment ensuring collaborative relationships and mentoring of staff with various levels of experience.Performs other duties as assigned.What you bring:Accredited Program Required: Medical Assistant andCollege Coursework PreferredMinimum of 3 years Required: recent healthcare experience working as a Medical Assistant May be required: National Medical Assistant Certification When referring to the National Certification requirement, the following are acceptable in meeting that requirement. Certified Medical Assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants AAMA; Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologists (AMT); Clinical Medical Assistant certification through the National Health Career Associates (NHA); National Certified Medical Assistant through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT); Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) administered by the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA); Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Allied Health (AAH); Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant administered by the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHPUSA) andRequired: Upon Hire Basic Life Support WASHINGTON:State of Washington Medical Assistant – certified licensure required.State of Washington Medical Assistant – Interim Certified credential accepted. Caregiver must obtain Medical Assistant- Certified (Non-Interim) credential within 12 months of date of issuance of interim credential by the State of Washington.National Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.SkillsInvolved in the resolution of urgent or time-consuming tasks that improve quality, team efficiency, and patient or office flow. (Required) Follows detailed procedures to ensure accuracy in documentation and data. (Required) Builds rapport and provide guidance or direction to others and serves as a role model to empower team members. (Required) Demonstrates critical thinking skills using sound judgment in the coordination of patient care. (Required) Performs testing, administers medications, and assists with examinations and procedures within the Scope of Care to support patient care provided by a licensed healthcare provider, in support of operational needs. (Required) Knowledge of HIPAA (Health Information and Portability Accountability Act) privacy and confidentiality policies to all daily activities. (Required) Analyzes problems skillfully and works with co-workers to identify areas for improvement. (Required) Operates multiline telephone system while simultaneously inputting information, routing calls, or responding to general inquiries. (Required) Typing skills (minimum of 45 words per minute preferred). (Required) Basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows and Office Applications. (Required) Attention to detail following detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data. (Required) Manages multiple priorities and time effectively. (Required) Strong communication skills with and effectively collaborate with providers, team members, and extended care team and patients. (Required) Recognizes internal/external customers as unique individuals and commit to treating every person promptly and competently with courtesy, respect, and compassion.
