Logistics Operator II - 1st Shift

This is a 1st shift position**Schedule is Saturday through WednesdayPosition SummaryPerforms a combination of warehouse, shipping and/or receiving tasks, and inspection, as well as tracks company inventory.JOB RESPONSIBLITIESPerform all tasks in regard to the receiving processPerform any task performed by a Logistics Operator IPerform Cross-DockReceive Vendor PO’sReceive Cores and Repaired itemsPerform all types of receiving InspectionPerform all tasks in regard to the shipping processAble to perform all tasks performed by a Logistics Operator IShipping of items with special needs (i.e. oversize, ESD, delicate/fragile, etc)Perform Intermediate tasks in warehouse organization and managementAll tasks performed by a Logistics Operator IIBin location creation/deletionAssign standard location to a partResearch item for stock adjustmentsOtherRun basic reportsAnswer email from internal customers in regard to receipts and shipmentsEducationESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESHigh School/ GED requiredExperienceFLSA Non-Exempt, Senior Level Service, Production or Support Worker role well experienced in all facets of area of responsibility within the function.Prefer 3+ years of experience in area of responsibility in warehouse or manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAssignments require thorough knowledge of all possible tasks and responsibilities.Role requires application of advanced skills attained via greater years of experience towards solving complex issues and problems.May modify departmental/functional processes to resolve issues.Skills are effectively applied in accomplishing all tasks.Forklift certified and ability to operate machinery and power-toolsHAZMAT certification preferredKnowledge of inventory systems and methodsProficient in Excel, and Microsoft Word.Able to navigate through SAPAbility to understand work and procedures, acting in problem solving, suggesting improvements.Able to speak, write and read in English/bilingual preferredWorking Conditions / Environment/ Special RequirementsHousekeeping duties and maintenance of clean work area (i.e. keep warehouse area clean and neat at all times).Must be able to keep standards of productivity and accuracy.Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.Able to stand for long periods of time.GENERAL COMMITMENT FOR ALL EMPLOYEESCommitment to company values and complies with department norms, policies, directives, and procedures.Incorporates Lean and P3E processes and concepts into daily activities.Strive for continuous improvement to processes and procedures.Honors and protects confidential and proprietary documents and information.Satisfies work schedule requirements.The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties or responsibilities that are required by the employee.
