Works under senior technicians.Duties/ResponsibilitiesPerforms basic maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacement, and multi-point inspectionsUse diagnostic tools, scanners, and software to identify and resolve issues accuratelyInterpret technical manuals, schematics, and manufacturer specificationsConduct thorough inspections and road tests to verify repairsEnsure all work meets manufacturer and safety standardsMaintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detailReview and verify repair work when necessaryWork closely with service advisors to communicate repair needs and timelinesHelp prioritize workflow and improve shop productivityMaintain accurate documentation of diagnostics and repairsPerform other related duties as assignedQualificationsRequirements:Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures.Basic mechanical knowledgeOwn tools (basic set)Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.Ability to read service and repair manuals.Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion.Ability to read and interpret repair orders.Must be 18 years or olderValid driver's licenseEducation and Experience:Diesel Technician Experience 3+ yearsHigh school diploma or GEDBasic mechanical knowledgeASE G1 (Maintenance & Light Repair) helpful but not requiredPhysical Requirements:Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed.Good vision to inspect repair work.Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel and squat to perform repairs and inspections.Must be able to reach below and above shoulder level.Must comply with all safety requirements.
