This role is ideal for a versatile attorney looking to build a career at the complex intersection of hardware procurement, software integration, and strategic commercial partnerships. You will play a key role in supporting our wireless ecosystem by assisting with the procurement of products (devices, accessories, and SIMs) and navigating the software and service agreements that drive our brand forward. This is an in-person position located at our Littleton, Colorado office.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and negotiate a diverse range of commercial agreements, including purchase and manufacturing agreements, software and technology agreements, and master services agreementsNegotiate legal documentation for strategic partnerships and marketing initiatives, including revenue share agreements, co-marketing agreements, promotional agreements, and memorandums of understanding to facilitate brand growth and retail wireless initiativesCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, subject matter experts, and business leaders to identify, assess, and resolve privacy, intellectual property, regulatory, and product issues, including hardware development, warranty support, and FTC/FCC complianceSupport go-to-market initiatives for the deployment of features and products on consumer devices by ensuring alignment with company policies, contractual requirements (including vendor guidelines), and applicable legal standardsProvide day-to-day legal advice on contract interpretation and vendor relationships, translating complex contractual and regulatory risks into concise, business-oriented guidance that enables senior leadership to make informed strategic decisionsProactively mitigate legal risks across business transactions by identifying potential issues and developing actionable resolution strategiesImprove legal processes and scalable contracting by assisting in the creation of templates while developing relationships and procedures to enhance collaboration and working relationships with various business teamsWork closely with EchoStar executives and business stakeholders at the appropriate level to provide legal support on initiatives and assist with other matters as neededSkills, Experience And RequirementsEducation and Experience:Juris Doctor (JD) degree or international equivalentActive license to practice law in at least one U.S. state with the ability to meet the admission requirements in Colorado1-4 years of legal experience at a law firm and/or in-house, with a focus on commercial transactionsPrior in-house legal experience is a plusExperience in the wireless, telecommunications, or technology industries is a plusFamiliarity with hardware procurement or OEM/ODM agreements is a plusSkills And QualificationsDedicated, focused, and intelligent, with a strong need to achieve in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentMeticulous attention to detail and a diligent work ethic, with a personal commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work productGrowth-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive under direct mentorship and a collaborative, hands-on review processDependable and responsive, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and a flexible approach to meeting critical business deadlinesExceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into concise and actionable guidance for business partnersProactive self-starter with the curiosity to learn and the resourcefulness to navigate tasks independentlyAnalytical and problem-solving mindset, driven by a “desire to win” and a strong sense of pride in your workA sense of adventure and a commitment to achieving personal, departmental, and company-wide goalsVisa sponsorship not available for this roleSalary RangesCompensation: $133,370.00/Year - $180,900.00/YearBenefitsWe offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: EchoStar Benefits.The base pay range shown is a guideline.
