Maintenance Technician
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support the safe operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our facility and production equipment. In this hands-on role, you’ll help ensure equipment reliability, maintain facility systems, and contribute to a strong safety culture.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & ComplianceMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentSupport Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives and inspectionsPerform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in accordance with safety protocolsAdhere to all company safety policies and regulatory requirementsEquipment Maintenance & RepairInspect, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipmentIdentify issues by observing, testing, and listening for irregular performanceDisassemble and repair defective equipment; install new or replacement partsPerform routine and preventive maintenance (PM), including:Cleaning and lubricating mechanical components (shafts, bearings, gears, etc.)Conducting monthly inspections and scheduled maintenanceElectrical & Mechanical SystemsInstall and repair electrical components (wiring, transformers, machine controls)Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systemsRepair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipmentFacility MaintenanceMaintain building infrastructure and systems including:Plumbing, electrical, lighting, and ventilation systemsDoors, hardware, and general structural componentsPerform general maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, and groundskeepingFabrication & ToolsOperate shop equipment and tools (after proper training), including:Welders, cutting torches, grinders, lathes, drills, and milling machinesSafely operate hoists and forklifts as neededVendor & Inventory CoordinationCommunicate with vendors to source tools, supplies, and replacement partsOrder and maintain necessary maintenance inventoryCoordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and installationsTeam CollaborationCommunicate effectively with supervisors, leads, and team membersPartner across departments to resolve issues and improve operationsQualificationsEducation & ExperienceAssociate degree, Trade Certification (e.g., Welding), or equivalent preferred1–2 years of maintenance or related technical experience, or equivalent combination of education and trainingTechnical SkillsBasic knowledge of:Electrical systemsPlumbing and HVACMechanical systems and preventative maintenance principlesProficiency with hand tools and pneumatic toolsBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office) and ability to learn maintenance software systemsCore CompetenciesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and interpret:Blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsSafety procedures and maintenance instructionsBasic math skills (fractions, percentages, ratios) for measurements and calculationsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situationsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a teamPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsRegularly required to stand and walk for extended periodsFrequent use of hands for tools and equipment operationOccasional bending, kneeling, crouching, and reachingAbility to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 poundsExposure to:Industrial noise (hearing protection required)Chemicals such as fuels, cleaners, and lubricantsWhy Join Us?Stable, hands-on role with a focus on safety and reliabilityOpportunities to expand your technical skills and certificationsCollaborative team environment with career growth potentialCompensation and Benefits:Base pay $25.00 / Hour + DOEExcellent Benefits Package for Full Time Employee that starts the 1st of the month after 30 days of hire dateMedical, Vision & Dental plans (including orthodontic coverage)Company paid Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disabilityMetLife Hyatt Legal and AFLAC benefit plansEmployee Assistance ProgramGenerous Paid Time Off - Accrue up to 4 weeks per year9 paid Holidays401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefitsTuition Reimbursement up to $5,250 a yearMultiquip provides competitive pay and benefits and supports our employees through our values of safety, integrity and respect.Employment is subject to pre-employment physical, drug-screening and background investigation.
