We’re hiring construction inspection professionals for a 5-year program with PennDOT District 3, offering steady work and long-term stability.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform field inspections to ensure construction aligns with plans, specifications, and applicable standardsCollect materials samples (soil, concrete, asphalt) and document testing resultsMonitor construction quality, progress, and workmanshipMaintain accurate daily reports, logs, and photo documentationIdentify and communicate non-conformance issues and recommend corrective actionsEnsure compliance with PennDOT, NYSDOT, local, and federal requirementsObserve, document, and report jobsite safety concernsRequirementsB.S. in Engineering, Science, Environmental or related field preferredExperience in construction inspection, civil engineering, or construction management preferredFamiliarity with roadway, bridge, or heavy civil construction preferred (PennDOT or NYSDOT experience preferred)Strong attention to detail with solid documentation and communication skillsAbility to work outdoors in active construction environmentsValid Driver’s LicenseCertifications are a plus or willingness to obtain: ACI Field Testing Technician, NICET Highway Construction, PennDOT Concrete, NECEPT AsphaltPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentAbility to lift up to 25 poundsAbility to safely access and navigate active construction sitesCapable of walking on uneven terrainWork environments may include office and field settings, with exposure to dust, noise, fumes, and weather conditionsFisher Associates is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
