FIELD REPRESENTATIVE - Southeastern, Minnesota

Providers Choice is hiring a Field Representative for the Southeastern Counties of Minnesota who will promote child nutrition and support child care providers through monitoring and compliance. The Field Representative role onboards and trains licensed child care providers on the program requirements of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) as well as monitors and provides technical assistance for each child care provider that participates on the CACFP.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Monitors licensed family child care providers per USDA and Minnesota Department of Education Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines at least three times per year. Effective monitoring includes meal pattern compliance, verification of meal counts and five-day reconciliation and record keeping maintenance.
Provides training and technical assistance on an ongoing basis to child care providers to help assure program success.
Grow and maintain active claiming provider caseload.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with county licensors, child care associations, community support groups, etc. to promote the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
Attend conferences, meetings and other events to promote and outreach the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
Attend department and company-wide trainings, as needed, for ongoing training and development at Providers Choice’s Minneapolis office.
Remain up to date on the requirements of the Child and Adult Care Food Program and communicate changes and updates to child care providers in their territory.
Collaborate and communicate with field operations team, claims team and leadership team on ongoing improvements to better support child care providers for program success.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree or equivalent in work experience
A passion for child nutrition
Valid Driver’s license and dependable vehicle with automobile insurance
Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously and independently
Excellent computer skills including Office 365 and Adobe
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
High level of organization and attention to detail
A strong moral code and sense of ethics
Must be able to lift boxes and materials up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to enter and navigate child care environments that may not be handicap accessible such as tight spaces, going up and down stairs and wet and icy conditions.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree
Knowledge and experience with the Child and Adult Care Food Program
Education or previous experience in nutrition, education, monitoring or working with young children
WORK LOCATION AND TRAVEL
This is a home-based position that requires significant travel around the Field Representative’s territory. Field Representatives work out of their home office as well as visit licensed child care providers on site. This position requires occasional overnight travel for meetings and trainings at the Providers Choice Minneapolis office as well as potential overnight travel within the Field Representative’s territory as deemed necessary for monitoring visits and/or meetings and conferences. Due to the nature of monitoring, Field Representatives work hours may vary based on licensed child care provider’s hours of operation. Field Representative’s must be available generally Monday through Friday 7 am until 5 pm and occasionally on nights and weekends.
