You'll take features end to end: schema, service, API, interface, tests, ship. Not half a feature and a wait.We're growing the engineering team on three fronts. One engineer goes deep on the client, one goes deep on the platform and integration layer, and you take the vertical slice that runs through both. If you like being the person who can follow a problem from a React component through an API into a query without handing it off, this is built for you.High tempo, real ownership, and a scope that shifts as we grow.What you'll doShip features across the whole stack: model the data, build the service, define the API, build the interface, write the tests.Work in TypeScript throughout, with validation schemas shared between the API and the form rather than written twice.Build on the backend with Node.js and NestJS for new services, Express where the existing ones live, PostgreSQL underneath, resource-oriented REST documented with OpenAPI.Build on the frontend with React, TypeScript, and Vite, following Feature-Sliced Design, TanStack Query for server state, React Hook Form and Zod for forms.Handle real data at real scale: large enterprise imports, taxonomies, and compensation datasets, with background processing over queues. Making an import fast, correct, and recoverable is genuine engineering here.Treat multi-tenancy and authorization as first-order concerns. Every query is tenant-scoped, and sensitive data carries role and attribute-level access rules.Write tests. Vitest across the stack, integration tests against a real test database. We're building this culture up rather than maintaining a mature one.Operate what you build: structured logging, distributed tracing, error tracking, and deploys you can follow into production.What you'll bring2 to 4 years building and shipping production web applications across both frontend and backend.Strong TypeScript. You use the type system to prevent bugs, not to satisfy a linter.Solid React: hooks, component design, state management, and an understanding of why things re-render.Solid Node.js: Express or NestJS, REST API design, authentication and authorization.Real SQL and relational modeling with PostgreSQL. You know what an index is for and you can tell when a query is the problem.You write tests without being asked.Git, code review, and CI/CD as everyday tools.Comfortable taking a feature from an ambiguous requirement to production, and asking the questions that make it less ambiguous.Professional English.
