Facility: Outpatient at Big Bend Location: Riverview, FL Status: Full Time Exempt: No Shift Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm Weekend Work: Every 3rd On Call: No ResponsibilitiesThe Lab Medical Assistant III is responsible for: Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens Referring specimens to outside laboratories Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests Performance of phlebotomy procedures Performs other duties as assigned Credentials Driver's License in the State of Florida Required ASPT (Phlebotomy Technicians) Or ASCP Or AMT (Medical Technologists) Or Paramedic Or EMT (Emergency) Or Medical Technologist Or Medical Technologist Eligible to obtain Or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the State of Florida Or RN (Registered Nurse) in the State of Florida EducationRequired High School or equivalent Experience 6 months in phlebotomy and 6 months BayCare related -Required 1 year of phlebotomy -PreferredBayCare offers a competitive total reward package including: Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) Paid Time Off Tuition Assistance 401K Match and additional yearly contribution Annual performance appraisals and team award bonus Family resources and wellness opportunities Community perks and discounts Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled
