Lead Android Developer (W2)

POSITION Role: BACKFILL Lead Android Developer LOCATION Miami, FL – 4 days per week – MUST BE COMMITTED TO RELOCATION IF RELOCATING (Nearby areas in FL Only) DURATION 3+ month CTH VISA RESTRICTIONS Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. USC Genuine GC & EAD’s REQUIRED SKILLS ● 5+ years building complex, high quality Android applications, and have a strong knowledge of Android app design principles, patterns, and best practices ● Strong proficiency with Java, Kotlin, and the Android development ecosystem ● Deep understanding of Android platform, including different device capabilities, battery life, performance, and notifications. ● Robust knowledge of Java, RxJava, RxBinding, Dependency Injection, Android SDK, and Android Studio. ● Experience writing tests for Android with JUnit and Espresso ● Experience with architectures like MVP and MVVM ● Experience with Android frameworks/tools such as Dagger 2, Picasso ● Ability to communicate complicated technical problems to both technical and business audiences ● Strong knowledge of REST architecture and distributed systems ● Experience integrating mobile clients with microservices (REST based APIs) ● Bias for a shift-left, test driven development ● Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency and proactivity Job Type: Contract Pay: $50,924.68 - $60,909.29 per year Experience level: 10 years 8 years 9 years Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Application Question(s): Work Authorization (USC OR GC or GC EAD) Current Location Experience: Android: 8 years (Preferred) Java, Kotlin, and the Android development ecosystem: 7 years (Preferred) RxJava, RxBinding, Dependency Injection, Android SDK,: 7 years (Preferred) Android with JUnit and Espresso: 7 years (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: Miami, FL: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: On the road
