Position Overview
Electrical Mechanics at Levels I–III perform electrical assembly, wiring, and fabrication work in a regulated manufacturing environment. All roles require strict adherence to safety standards, documented procedures, and quality requirements. Higher levels assume increased technical complexity, autonomy, and leadership responsibility.
Electrical Mechanic ICore Responsibilities
Assemble electrical components using hand tools and shop equipment in accordance with documented work instructions
Build, route, and install wiring assemblies within enclosures and structures
Inspect own work to ensure compliance with quality standards
Maintain accountability for assigned tools and equipment
Keep work areas organized, clean, and compliant with safety requirements
Electrical Mechanic IIRole Summary
Performs advanced electrical assembly and modification work with limited supervision. Acts as a technical resource for junior team members and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical specifications, and modification instructions
Execute electrical repairs and retrofits independently
Perform all Level I duties consistently and at a high standard
Use ERP systems (e.g., Syteline or similar) to manage work orders and documentation
Measure and verify dimensions using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Complete production records and related paperwork accurately
Conduct complex connector terminations, including shielded and coaxial cables
Verify circuit continuity and component safety using electrical testing equipment
Cut, prepare, route, and install wiring and protective materials
Create, print, and apply wire identification labels
Route wiring through panels, furniture, and enclosures, terminating both ends as required
Apply wire handling, bundling, tying, and harness closure techniques per standard practices
Participate in team-based improvement efforts
Provide routine progress and status updates
Ensure proper care of tools, equipment, and finished product
Maintain a safe and orderly workspace
Perform additional duties as assigned by senior technical staff
Electrical Mechanic IIIRole Summary
Senior-level mechanic responsible for executing complex electrical assembly tasks with minimal oversight. Provides leadership support and ensures consistent adherence to quality and safety expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced electrical assembly, wiring build-up, and routing tasks
Complete work independently with minimal guidance
Ensure workmanship meets all quality and compliance standards
Maintain tool control and equipment condition within the work area
Support team leads and senior mechanics as assigned
Maintain safe, organized workstations
Provide regular work status updates
Minimum QualificationsEducation & Age (All Levels)
Minimum age: 18 years
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience RequirementsLevel I
Entry-level role
Ability to read and follow process specifications and technical documentation
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Level II
Preferred 3–5 years of experience in an aerospace or regulated electrical manufacturing environment
FAA A&P certification preferred but not required
Experience working with Boeing and Airbus wiring standards
Ability to interpret detailed process specifications
Level III
Preferred 7+ years of aerospace electrical manufacturing experience
FAA A&P certification preferred but not required
Strong familiarity with Boeing and Airbus wiring specifications
Advanced ability to interpret process and engineering documentation

Clear verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
Effective time management and prioritization under deadline pressure
Basic math proficiency
Ability to understand customer quality expectations
Read and follow drawings, specifications, and written procedures
Accurately complete production and quality documentation
Ability to sit for extended periods
Use electrical testing equipment to verify continuity and safety
Measure, cut, assemble, and route electrical materials
Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and installation data
Work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Use hand tools including crimpers, wire strippers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
Perform wire splicing and terminal preparation
Route wiring through sleeves and protective coverings
Skills & Abilities (Level III)
Advanced interpretation of engineering drawings, specifications, and retrofit instructions
ERP system proficiency (including Syteline)
Skilled use of precision measurement instruments
High level of care in handling tools, materials, and finished assemblies
Expertise in complex terminations (shielded wiring, coaxial cables)
Ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams
Lead technical problem-solving using team expertise
Experience with specialized assemblies (e.g., barrier door bracket systems)
Ability to guide wiring through extremely tight tolerances and confined spaces
Proficiency in soldering wires to connectors and switches
Advanced understanding of electrical schematics and wiring layouts
Skilled in harness tying and closure methods
Ability to accurately differentiate wire colors
Physical & Sensory Requirements
Ability to distinguish color variations
Occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs
Pay: $23.37 - $31.42 per hour
