Financial Analyst
The RoleWe are looking for a mission-driven Financial Analyst to join Alchemy's growing finance team. In this role you will report directly to the Director of Finance, working closely with leadership to support the financial operations of a fast-scaling healthcare startup. We partner with STD clinics, Ryan White programs, and FQHCs to ensure patients living with HIV and Hepatitis C can access life-saving medication, on-site, same-day, and with the full financial benefit flowing back to the clinic.We’ve raised $31M from Andreessen Horowitz, Magic Johnson Enterprises, and The Banc of California, and we’re scaling fast. Our team has deep clinical pharmacy, technology, and operations experience. Collectively, we have spent 18 years in Africa building the largest HIV access program in the world, and we have set up, operated and scaled pharmacies that have dispensed over 25M+ prescriptions to patients across all 50 states in the US. After setting up a clinic’s in-house pharmacy, we design and implement clinical pharmacy programs and deploy technology products that leverage the pharmacy to expand patient reach, improve clinical outcomes, and increase the financial impact of their 340B program. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Analyze customer pharmacy data and deliver actionable financial insights to customersAssist with month-end close activities, including data validation and reconciliation supportBuild and maintain financial models to support business and operational decision-makingAnalyze operational and financial data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvementManage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactionsPrepare clear presentations and reports to communicate financial insights to key stakeholdersCollaborate closely with teams across the company to gather data, answer ad hoc financial questions, and support strategic initiativesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance or Economics required0-3 years of experience in finance or accounting rolesProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including building and maintaining financial models, pivot tables, and variance analysisFamiliarity with financial reporting and a working knowledge of GAAP principlesAbility to translate financial data into clear, visually compelling presentations using PowerPoint or similar toolsExperience or coursework in budgeting, forecasting, or business/operational analysisStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced startup environmentExcellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset - comfortable presenting to customers and leadership
