QC Media Technician

Athens, GAContract Duration: 3-36 monthsRate: NegotiableResponsibilities:Excellent employment opportunity for a QC Media Technician in the Athens, GA area.Perform, maintain and train on techniques and methods for producing media required for Quality Control testing which includes autoclaving and cleaning glassware.Prepare media and sterile supplies according to Standard Operating Procedure.Provide accurate and concurrent laboratory documentation using data capture and records.Monitor and replenish media as required to prevent any testing delays.Maintain supply of consumables and accurate inventory logs.Understand and follow cleaning and disinfection procedures.Conduct routine equipment monitoring.In addition to the above, other assigned duties deemed appropriate within the position scope.Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree preferred.Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.Aseptic technique knowledge.Ability to use an autoclave, steam kettle and bottle washer.Basic math skills and equipment trouble shooting skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems.Ability to work in a team environment.Required Skills: QUALITY CONTROL
