The program offers deceased donor and living donor kidney transplantation, including laparoscopic and robotic living donor nephrectomy. The Institute has developed an innovative living donor program that includes paired exchange and incompatible transplant strategies to expand access to transplantation for complex patients. In 2023, the Institute expanded its services to include deceased donor pancreas and simultaneous kidney/pancreas transplantation. Memorial Transplant Institute has developed a strong regional reputation for clinical outcomes, multidisciplinary collaboration, and innovation in transplantation. In the most recent SRTR report, the adult kidney transplant program achieved 5 out of 5 bars for one-year patient and graft survival and 4 out of 5 bars for transplant rate (getting a transplant faster). The Institute continues to experience growth in transplant volume and living donation, supported by strategic investment in clinical expansion, innovation, and program development.
