Dispatcher/Logistics Clerk

Job Description Interior Exterior Building Supply, the number one commercial and residential building material supplier in the Southeast, is searching for Dispatcher/Logistics Clerk for our Melbourne, FL location!Job ResponsibilitiesAssigns drivers and vehicles to convey freight or passengers to assigned destinationArrange shipments by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating delivery requirements, and placing and expediting ordersKeeps customers informed by forwarding notice of item availability, shipment date and method, current status, and answering questionsTracks driver assignments and other shipping data in a computer databasePerform administrative tasks such as arranging transportation methods, and managing shipping schedulesEnsure that electronic or paper files are kept accurately and up-to-date in order to track orders and answer billing questionsAssist in inspecting orders that arrive at the facility to identify damage and input information into inventory recordsHandle replacement for incorrect or damaged goodsPrepare shipping paperwork, complete shipping transactions in supply chain system, and ship products per customer requirementsAssist with warehouse organizationOther duties as assignedRequired Skills/AbilitiesHigh School Diploma or equivalent required1-2 + years of dispatching/logistics experienceForklift certification or the ability to get certified is requiredExcellent communication skills are requiredProficient in Microsoft Office requiredWhy work for Interior Exterior Building Supply?We provide the greatest value to our customers by offering preferred products and superior customer service.
