Asst Store Director
The Assistant Store Director is first and foremost responsible for guest relations and satisfaction by building a reputation for Ultimate Service. He/She is responsible for supervising the efficient, effective, safe, legal and profitable operation of the entire store in the absence of the Store Director. He/She coordinates human relations for the total store and ensures execution of all policies and procedures on a timely basis.Key ResponsibilitiesWhen a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guestResponsible for maintaining good atmosphere, spirit, and morale throughout the storeResponsible for channeling communication to all departments and from departments to DirectorResponsible for identifying areas of opportunity throughout the entire storeAssists with implementation of new programs and directives throughout the store in a timely mannerAssists in the forecasting and implementation of programs to achieve volume and labor goals with all departments and evaluating the results of sales and labor performance throughout the storeJointly coordinates with Store Director (and Talent Relations Manager, where applicable) fair team member wages and promotionsPrepares work schedules, assigns individuals, and delegates authority to appropriate personnel.Acts as Safety Coordinator and trainer of proper claims procedures and policies for the entire store, in stores where Talent Relations Manager is not presentEvaluates overages or deficiencies in weekly sales and labor performance and identifies plans to overcome challengesJointly manages donation budget with the Store DirectorDevelops community relations and builds goodwill for the store and companyCoordinates personnel reprimands with Department Managers, in stores where Talent Relations Manager is not presentResponsible for safeguarding, controlling and monitoring all store assets, ensuring policies and procedures are implemented for control of assetsPerform other duties as requested or required by upper managementKey RequirementsMust be 18 years of age or olderHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of one year experience in store management or equivalentThe Assistant Store Director is required to work a minimum of 48 hours per week. This will involve multiple opening, closing and day shifts depending on the store needsAbility to work and communicate with all levels of management and subordinates in a professional mannerMust possess leadership skills, maturity, technical skills, and proven operations track recordMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs, push and pull up to 100 lbs, and stand for long periods of time (up to 6 hours)Perform all other physical aspects of the job to bending, squatting, standing, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, and walkingKnowledge of company policiesAbility to forecast sales volume and product needs for ordering and schedulingMust possess technical skills to perform basic math and computer tasks (Word, Excel, and Email).Ability to work at fast-paced, but efficient and controlled mannerMust maintain Certified Food Safety Manager certificationBilingual English/Spanish a plusAbility to receive phone calls at homeMust be flexible to work various hours/shifts, including weekends and holidaysMust attend meetings, including out-of-town, requiring overnight staysMust be able to transfer to another store within the areaAbility to function as a team member and get along with othersThis job description is intended to provide a high-level of general requirements for this position.
