Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Acute Care / Med-Surg with Telemetry position at a small community hospital in Bluffton, IN, working night shifts on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule.Job Details• Acute care medical-surgical unit with telemetry, progressive care, and swing bed capabilities,• Small community hospital with 40 licensed beds (including 10 swing beds) and 20 beds in the unit,• Average daily census of 10 patients,• Patient ratios of 1:6 for acute care and 1:10 for swing beds,• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,• No on-call requirements,• Floating to other units is not required,• Block scheduling is available,• Cerner EMR experience preferred,• 13-week contract,Job Requirements• Active IN RN license or compact RN license currently in hand,• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred,• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date,• Minimum 1 year of recent Med-Surg experience required; 3 years preferred,• Proficiency in IV starts, nursing assessments, and telemetry monitoring required,• ICU drip experience preferred,• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted,• Must have a valid driver's license on file,• US Social Security Number required,• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,Additional Information• Provide acute care nursing to medical-surgical patients, including telemetry monitoring and swing bed care,• Navy blue scrubs required,• RTO of up to 48 hours allowed for a 13-week commitment; RTO requests must be less than one week in duration,• Every other holiday coverage is required,• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
