Quality Assurance Tester- Junior (Remote)
Description
The Junior Quality Assurance Tester (Jr QA Tester) is responsible for working with Associate and Senior testers to assist in thorough and comprehensive test script creation to ensure the highest standards of quality are met on every user story. The Junior QA tester will work with Associate and Senior testers to create test scripts, provide detailed testing results, and work with the development team to explain results. The Junior QA tester must have familiarity with agile methodologies and time management to ensure testing completion within each sprint.
This position will be working directly with stakeholders and the technical team, and must be able to communicate effectively via phone, web conferencing, and MS Teams. The Junior QA tester must work with Associate and Senior QAs to follow process and provide detailed pass/fail documentation for all work products, must be able to navigate the application, and must ensure understanding of end state functionality prior to work entering a sprint.
Job Location
This position is remote within the United States and requires that the job be performed in the United States. Core Work Hours
Core work hours are 9am - 5pm Eastern Time.
The Work
Responsibilities include assisting Associate and Senior QAs in test script creation, documenting testing results, eventually taking ownership of authoring UAT scripts, participating in UAT preparation and troubleshooting, collaborating with the development team and clients to understand functionality, and ensuring solutions meet client needs with the highest quality. The role also involves testing integrations and working within an agile framework with various team members.
What You Will Do
Assist Associate QAs with test scripts creation to accurately evaluate all functional criteria
Work with Associate and Senior QAs to provide detailed documentation of testing results for all stories and features
Assist in and eventually take ownership of authoring UAT scripts
Participate in UAT preparation and troubleshooting
Work closely with development team and clients to understand functionality, communicate testing results, and at times demo functionality to users
Work an agile framework, collaborating with other quality assurance testers, business analysts, developers, training team, and product owner to ensure solutions meet client needs with the highest quality
Test integrations
Work with Associate and Senior QAs to assist as needed
What You Will Bring With You
US Citizenship is required (required by the federal government for this position)
Active Public Trust Clearance (any agency)
Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance
MUST RESIDE IN THE United States and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States, as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply
2+ Years experience in quality assurance testing
1+ years experience reviewing and analyzing data and documentation related to system quality
1+ years experience authoring test scripts
1+ years experience testing all product backlog items (stories and tasks) and providing pass/fail documentation for each product backlog item
1+ years experience working in an agile environment

Skilled at analyzing existing system documentation to summarize existing system functionality as it relates to the project
Experience working across multiple projects
Experience with ServiceNow CSM, ITSM, and App Engine
Has an active CSA
1+ Experience creating test scripts for UAT
Experience testing telephonic systems
Professional Skills
