CONTROLLER
Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented controller to lead our accounting & human resource functions. Work for a growing privately held company with 10 locations throughout California while managing a team of 3 to 4 employees. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in transactional accounting, large payroll processing, and human resource experience.
Responsibilities
Oversee a staff of 3 to 4 employees to perform day-to-day functions in A/P, A/R, billing, and payroll.
Oversee the administrative functions of new hires, terminations, employee files, and processing larger payrolls timely and in the most efficient manner.
Oversee a timely month-end close with bank reconciliations, balance sheet account review, and analysis of financial data with financial improvement recommendations.
Collaborate with operations teams to monitor labor expenses and human resource compliance.
Collaborate with the CEO by providing timely & accurate financial data along with guidance to allow for continued growth.
Lead vendor relationships to ensure cost-efficient contracts and insurance renewals.
Implement best practices in time management and project scheduling to improve overall operational efficiency to provide timely financial data to executives.
Qualifications:
Excellent work history with a minimum of 5 years of accounting team management.
Must have experience with overseeing payrolls for a minimum of 100 employees.
Experience with human resources, workers' compensation, and insurance renewals.
Excellent skills in time management and people management within a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
