This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic behavioral health setting, providing comprehensive care to adult and adolescent patients. Position Details: Schedule: Seven days on / seven days off rotation. 12-hour shifts with 3???4 overnight 24-hour call shifts during the 7-day rotation. Primary responsibilities include consultations, new admissions, discharges, and handling emergencies. Patient Care: Two inpatient units with a total of 37 adult beds. Daily census typically exceeds 30 patients. Providers round on 15???18 patients per day. Consult service averages three new consults daily, plus follow-ups. Family practice handles histories and physicals. Admissions and Discharges: Daily admissions: 5???7 on average, with occasional peaks of 8???10. Daily discharges: Typically 4???5, with peaks of 6???8. Technology and Support: Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech system in use. Collaborative team includes two physicians and 2???3 psychiatry residents. No Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on the unit currently.
