Senior Solution Development EngineerAre you passionate about designing robotic automation solutions that solve real-world manufacturing challenges?We're supporting a fast-growing robotics scale-up that's redefining industrial automation through next-generation robotic systems.Following continued growth across North America and Europe, they're looking to hire a Senior Solution Development Engineer to play a key role in designing the automation solutions of tomorrow and to bridge the gap between customer requirements and world-class automation solutions.You'll act as the technical bridge between Sales Engineering and deployment, translating customer requirements into scalable automation solutions through concept development, simulation and detailed engineering before handing them over for execution.What you'll be doingTranslate customer requirements into technically feasible automation concepts and system architectures through pre-sales solutions.Design end-to-end robotic automation solutions spanning mechanical, electrical, controls and software disciplines.Validate solution concepts through simulation, modelling and prototyping before deployment.Evaluate engineering trade-offs and make data-driven design decisions.Define system requirements, interfaces, assumptions and acceptance criteria.Partner with execution teams to ensure solutions are practical, scalable and ready for manufacturing and deployment.Lead technical design reviews and identify risks early in the development lifecycle.Produce comprehensive engineering documentation, including solution packages, interface definitions, risk assessments and Bills of Materials.Continuously improve future designs by incorporating deployment feedback and operational learnings.We're keen to speak with engineers who have experience designing complex robotic or automation systems and enjoy solving multidisciplinary engineering challenges.What we're looking for5+ years' experience in robotics, automation or systems engineering.Experience developing technical solution concepts from customer requirements.Strong background in systems engineering, robotics, automation, mechatronics, application engineering or design engineering.Experience with simulation, modelling and prototype validation.Knowledge across mechanical, electrical and controls engineering.The ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.A proactive, ownership-driven approach with the confidence to work independently and coordinate multiple stakeholders.Offices in Austin, flexible working with travel to customers.Salary up to $145,000 + Bonus + Equity.Apply now for immediate consideration!
