A Day in the Life of the The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for strengthening local market presence through strategic partnerships, grassroots marketing initiatives, sponsorships, and community programs that drive brand awareness, consideration, and customer acquisition. This role translates national campaigns (Back to School, Fall Rush, Cyber, Price for Life, etc.) into hyperlocal activations that generate demand and support field sales growth. The Manager partners closely with Field Sales, GTM, Marketing Ops, PR, Social, and local market leaders to execute high-impact community programs that strengthen brand reputation and increase subscriber growth. This position plays a critical role in positioning Astound as the most consumer-friendly, community-focused broadband provider in our markets. Develops and executes local community engagement strategies aligned with company growth priorities (new build, MDU, market expansion, upgrades). Identifiesandsecursestrategic partnerships with schools, universities, chambers, local nonprofits, property managers, and community organizations. Manages sponsorshipportfolioandensuremeasurable ROI. RepresentsAstound at key community events and forums. Supports government relations strategies. Providesstrategic guidance to local General Managers, working with PR agencies to set up interviews and other local spotlight opportunities. Plans and executes grassroots activationsincluding:Street teams, brand ambassadors, campus activations, MDU events (lobby events, breakfast pop-ups, seasonal resident events), Back to School / Fall Rush campaigns Aligns event strategy with DSR (Direct Sales Rep) presence and local sales initiatives. Ensures all activations integrate digital capture tactics (QR, retargeting, sweepstakes, email opt-ins). Leadscoordination oflogistics, vendors, materials, and budget management. Partners with Field Sales Managers and GTM to prioritize low-penetration buildings and new build zones. Supports market expansion initiatives and localized launch events. Aligns community programming with promotional strategy (Price for Life, flash sales, etc.). Provides field teams with event kits, signage, and activation playbooks. Collaborates withSocialMedia team to amplify community activations. Partners with PR toleveragecommunity involvement for earned media opportunities. Works with Marketing Ops to track leads, performance metrics, and attribution. Ensures brand standards and messaging consistency across all activations. Manage community engagementbudgetsacross assigned markets. Track KPIs anddeliverpost-event performance reporting. Optimizespend based on ROI and subscriber impact. Actively support, promote, and advance all aspects ofAstound'sInclusion and Belonging work, recognizing it as a business priority, including creating a work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, heard, and empowered. What you Bring to the Table: 5-8+ years managing strategic marketing strategy in telecom, subscription, or high-volume acquisition businesses. 3+ years working in a competitive environment and/or with a challenger brand. Experience managing $10M+ performance budgets preferred. ExperienceleveragingAI tools to automate or enhance analysis is preferred. Expertisein developing and executing fullfunnel marketing strategies that drive measurable growth. Advanced analytical, forecasting, and datainterpretation skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations. Proven ability to scale customer acquisition efficiently through datadriven optimization. Strongproficiencyin Excel and comfort working with large datasets. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment. Skill in distilling complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform marketing and business decisions. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong organization and clarity in messaging. High attention to detail and a customercentric mindset in all aspects of execution. Strategic thinker with strong localmarket execution capabilities, able to tailor strategies to specific geographies or audiences. Strong collaboration and crossfunctional leadership skills, with the ability to influence without authority. Resultsoriented approach, with a focus on measurable performance and continuous improvement. High energy and fieldfocused mindset, comfortable engaging directly with teams and customers. Strong presentation and storytelling abilities, capable of communicating insightstosenior leadership. Ability to thrive in a fastmoving, growthoriented environment,maintainingagility and sound judgment. Education: High school diploma or equivalentrequired. Bachelor's degree preferred.Majorin Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications,orrelated fields. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
