American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Outpatient Surgery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and a Georgia or compact RN license.Job Details• Outpatient Surgery unit with 13 operating rooms,• Patient population spans infants to geriatrics,• EMR: Epic (required); also uses Pyxis and SBAR communication framework,• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM,• Every other weekend required,• Floating within OR departments required,• No on-call requirements, but must provide coverage for cases that run late,• Scrubs are provided by the facility,Job Requirements• Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration,• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,• Minimum 2 years of outpatient surgery RN experience required,• Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration,• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred - some units require two on file for review,Additional Information• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,• Local candidates are accepted,• No special scheduling requests, alternate shifts, or schedule changes are permitted,• RTO maximum is 7 days per contract; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of assignment,• Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them and may request one holiday off for approval,• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as 1),• Travelers who have previously worked at this health system must have been away from all system facilities for a full year before returning as a traveler,
