You will serve as the expert on all SHE matters, partnering with researchers, engineers, and leadership to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvementProgram and policy development: Create, maintain, and enforce site-specific SHE programs, policies, and procedures, and align with corporate SHE standards.Regulatory compliance: Ensure the site maintains full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.Risk management: Conduct regular risk assessments and job hazard analyses for new and existing R&D processes, equipment, and hazardous materials.Incident investigation: Lead and manage all SHE incident investigations, including spills, injuries, and near misses, using root cause analysis to implement corrective and preventative actions.Hazardous waste management: Oversee the site's hazardous waste program, ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with all regulations.Training and communication: Develop and deliver mandatory SHE training for all lab personnel, employees, and contractors. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.
