NMR Spectroscopy
Key Responsibilities:Apply Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy techniques to support research and developmentIdentify trace unknown impurities in complex polymer matrices, degradation products of polymer systems, small molecule/polymer interaction productsConduct extractable/leachable studiesMaintain Nuclear Magnetic Resonance SpectrometerInterpret test results and author scientific reportsCollaborate with inter-disciplinary colleagues such as toxicologists, engineers, polymer chemists, etc.QualificationsEducation:A Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field with a minimum of 0+ years of post-graduate experience.Experience and Skills:Required:Possess in-depth knowledge of NMR spectroscopy principles and have demonstrated hands-on NMR problem solving experience with chemical systems.Display passion for science and innovationLove to tackle problems with analytical technologies and chemistry knowledgeWork independently and also effectively collaborate and communicate with other team members.Have excellent oral & written communication skillsPreferred:Strong organic chemistry backgroundExperience with NMR instrument maintenance and troubleshootingFamiliarity with FTIR and other spectroscopic techniquesExperience with synthetic polymer characterizationDesired Skills and ExperienceMedical Device - Research & DevelopmentResponsible for supporting medical device projects through sample preparation, method development, and data analysis.Location: Raritan, NJBusiness Unit: Medical Device - Research & DevelopmentSkills/Experience Needed:PhD - chemistry background (Organic or Inorganic)Onsite (Raritan, NJ) 5 days/weekIn-depth knowledge of NMR spectroscopyExperience with synthetic polymer characterizationEOE Statement: Specialist Staffing Group is an equal opportunity employer.
