OverviewCoater / PainterLocation: Lubbock, TXDepartment: Coating SpecialistsPay: $15-$17Shift: FirstPosition SummaryThe Coater/Painter is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing a variety of materials using industrial painting techniques. This role requires experience in powder coating and other finishing processes, along with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare parts and materials for coating, including cleaning, masking, blasting, and pre-treatment processesApply coatings using powder coat, wet paint, Cerakote, hydro dipping, and other finishing techniquesSet up and operate coating equipment such as spray guns, hoppers, and booth systemsMonitor coating processes to ensure proper thickness, adhesion, and finish qualityInspect coated parts visually and with quality control tools to ensure specifications are metMix and adjust coatings for proper flow, viscosity, and coverageCure or bake coated parts according to material and process requirementsLoad and unload parts onto fixtures or racks safely and efficientlyPerform routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs on coating equipmentFollow all safety guidelines, quality standards, and company proceduresMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as neededProvide professional and courteous interaction with team members, vendors, and customersSkills and ExperienceQualificationsStrong background in powder coating and/or industrial paintingHigh attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionComfortable working in a fast-paced production environmentDependable, motivated, and team-orientedEducation & ExperienceMinimum 2 years of coating, painting, or related manufacturing experienceHigh school diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent experience)Forklift experience preferredSkills & AbilitiesKnowledge of coating systems, including thermosetting resins and surface preparation methodsBasic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skillsAbility to follow technical instructions and process guidelinesBasic math skills (measurements, ratios, and material calculations)Strong problem-solving and attention to detailPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs as neededFrequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shiftAbility to operate forklifts and overhead cranesAbility to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and dustVisual ability to inspect coatings and identify defectsBenefitsDon't miss this chance to enhance your experience in a production environment while enjoying competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.Weekly pay$5 prescription drugs$5 doctor's visit copaysFree teledoctor serviceFree counseling servicesLife insurance includedVision insurance includedDental insurance includedVacation and holiday payScholarship Opportunities401(k) retirement planFree legal servicesOur unbeatable employee discount programApply now so we can hold a spot for you.
