It is a privilege to treat patients from all walks of life who put their faith in us to restore critical functions related to hearing, speech, swallowing, airway, smell and taste.Chief Purpose of this position:The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University seeks a BE/BC, General / Comprehensive Otolaryngologist / Head and Neck Surgeon to join a robust and growing academic practice. We are seeking applicants that will contribute to our continued growth in state-of-the-art patient care, academic achievement, and resident training. Position Responsibilities: Clinical – This is the area of primary focus as a clinical faculty MD. Faculty member will demonstrate excellence in provision of care and treatment of patients within the discipline. Faculty member will demonstrate responsibility toward growth of individual clinical practice and referral base. Faculty will participate in multi-disciplinary clinical endeavors. Teaching – Faculty member will participate in the teaching of residents, medical students and other students & observers. Provide CME lectures for professionals. Average faculty effort. Service – Faculty member will serve on departmental, Health System and/or University committees as needed.
