Principal Solutions Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $189,000 – $230,700 annuallyResponsibilities Design and deliver complex, enterprise-scale solutions for lending and credit card platforms Translate business needs into technical designs ensuring performance, security, reliability, and scalability Identify opportunities to simplify systems and enhance platform architecture Lead the design of cloud-ready financial solutions with modern application architectures Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful execution across systems Design, develop, and troubleshoot APIs and integrations vital for lending experiences Analyze production challenges to improve operational stabilityQualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred 10+ years of IT experience with expertise in application design required Experience in financial products such as credit cards, mortgages, and loans required Demonstrated experience in consumer financial products with expertise in UX, integration, and API layer required Proficiency with public cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS offerings requiredBenefits 401(k) company match (up to 3%) 4% annual contribution to 401(k) by the company Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans PTO program with an exchange program Tuition reimbursement program Volunteer time off and donation matching with the company CaresOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
