ResponsibilitiesPosition is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the electrical and instrumentation equipment of a new 300 MMSCFD cryogenic natural gas processing plant in the Delaware Basin. The Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician is responsible for the installation, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of the plant electrical and controls equipment. The I&E Technician will support equipment which includes but is not limited to the following:Natural gas and liquids separationCondensate stabilizationAmine treating and gas dehydrationTurbine, reciprocating, and screw compressionTurbine power generationPropane refrigerationNatural gas cryogenic processingCO2 compression, treating, and dehydrationReverse Osmosis water treating & pumpsTransmitters, valves, actuators, and other instrumentationGas and liquids measurement equipmentPLCs and plant control, safety, and communications systemsPDC, MCC, transformers, breakers, wiring, motors, VFDs, generators, and additional electrical equipmentElectrical substation & power distributionComputerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)In addition, the I&E Technician will be a key contributor to EOG's proactive safety culture. This is a unique grass-roots opportunity in which the I&E Technician will play a role in the construction of the facility, along with the development of plant maintenance and operating procedures. The I&E Technician will interface regularly with plant mechanic, plant operator, engineering, control room, supply chain, management, and safety teams. The ideal candidate will possess a broad knowledge of I&E equipment maintenance and operations and have a proven track record as a leader. Position will be based at the Janus Plant site near Mentone, Texas. Position will have a rotational schedule of day shifts with night call-out responsibilities during the shift. Housing will be provided during the shift.Job RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesServe as a safety leader in EOG's proactive safety cultureOperate and maintain the plant and substation I&E equipment in accordance with operating proceduresConduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot plant and substation equipmentOptimize plant operations and maintenance (O&M) to improve plant safety, reliability, and efficiencyProgram, configure, and support plant distributed control system (DCS), safety system, and PLCsPerform loop checks, point-to-points, PID tuning, and support equipment commissioning and testingExecute Management of Change (MOC) processes with required documentationManage and track parts, inventory, consumables, work orders, and costsCoordinate with O&M and safety teams to ensure Process Safety Management (PSM) complianceVerify Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and participate in periodic plant PHA'sQualificationsUnwavering commitment to personnel safety and regulatory compliance Five years of Plant I&E Technician or related experience preferredJourneyman or Master electrician license preferredSolid understanding of electrical, instrumentation, control, communication, and safety systemsExcellent problem solving, communication, and leadership skillsExperience in PSM facilities and CMMS programs is considered a plusKnowledge of turbine compression & power generation is considered a plusAbility to work in a highly innovative and fast-paced environmentHigh School diplomaEOG Resources is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer including Veterans and Disabled.
