Data Engineer

Title – Data EngineerLocation – Houston, TX (onsite only)Experience – 5 to 7 years relevant experienceRole Overview The Data Engineer focuses on building and maintaining data platforms, data pipelines, AI/ML workflows, and cloud-based solutions that support Client's energy industry software products. Mandatory Skills:• 5+ years of relevant software/data engineering experience.• Oil and Gas Experience preferred• Python• SQL• Data Modeling• ETL/Data Pipeline Engineering• AI/ML Frameworks• Cloud Platforms (Azure/AWS)• Software Development fundamentals• System Design and Architecture• Full-stack exposure (Angular/Node.js preferred)Key Responsibilities• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.• Develop and manage end-to-end AI/ML pipelines.• Support data modeling, data integration, and data quality initiatives.• Design and deploy cloud-native data and AI solutions.• Implement LLM and Generative AI solutions, including:o Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)o Vector databases/searcho Prompt orchestration pipelines• Ensure data governance, security, and responsible AI practices.• Monitor production systems for reliability, performance, and scalability.• Participate in architecture decisions for enterprise-scale platforms.Education:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
